The cross pass: right hand, left hand

The cross pass: right hand, left hand

The objective is to teach the players to make a good crossover pass: crossover on the right passes right hand, crossover on the left passes left hand.

 SETTING UP

The players are divided into:

  • 2 columns located 10-11 meters from the goal and separated by 4-6 meters with 1 single ball
  •  INSTRUCTIONS

The first player (the one with the ball) commits without dribbling to go and fix in front of him towards the goal (1). He then changes interval sign that he crosses since he will take the space, the interval of his partner) (2)

He must be dangerous on his 2 bindings, ie put speed in his race, have the feet, the torso oriented towards the goal and the armed arm to go to shoot.

 INSTRUCTIONS

He then fixes the new space (interval) while being dangerous: the cocked arm, ready to shoot or pass (3)

Like the attacker who crosses the ball to the right of the field (2), then he passes with his right hand (3)

The player without the ball from the other column commits to go and fix towards the goal (4) then in his turn changes the interval to initiate the cross with the player from the other column (5)

 INSTRUCTIONS

We continue in the same way with the opposite column: pass (6), fixation (7), change of interval (8)

As before as the player who will cross moves to the left (5), then he will make the pass with his left hand (6)

The player who made the pass disengages in the opposite column

 REGULATION

  • Adapt the speed to the understanding of your players.
  • Do not hesitate to ask them to make the movement by walking if necessary
  • Add a fixed defender around which players will switch intervals
