Mid-center / rear cross to shoot central sector

Mid-center / rear cross to shoot central sector

The objective of this exercise is to work on the relationship between 2 player (s) on the central sector to end with a shot.

 SETTING UP

We position on the half-court:

  • a goalie
  • 2 rear columns without ball
  • 1 half-center column each with a ball

 INSTRUCTIONS

The half-center commits by dribbling to the back left (1)

The left back then engages in a cross (2) to receive the pass from the half-center (3) and go to shoot (4)

 INSTRUCTIONS

When the first center-half crosses over to the left-back, the next center-half in the column engages to the right-back (3)

The right-back then crosses (4) with the half-center to receive his pass (5) and go to shoot (6)

 REGULATION

  • Change the forms of shooting: in support, at the hip, in suspension….
  • Vary the impact of shots: have goalkeepers show the shooter where to shoot. This allows the shooter to take the information
